 B) In poetry very often there are lines in which the poet seems to talk directly to an absent person,an abstract idea or thing or object. This device used by the poet is the figure of speech - Apostrophe.

Do you remember Homograph?
Apostrophe is an example of Homograph.
1 The mark ( ' ) used before or after the letter  -'s' to show that sth belong to sb.
Ex. Shriram's bow and Lakhsman's arrow
2 Apostrophe - the figure of speech that we learnt earlier.
Name some of the prayers you say in chorus in your school assembly.

The speaker or the poet requests God  that everyday should be started with sth new. He/She prays for strength to take the right decision and choose the correct path of life. It may be darkened. It is mostly with ful of hardships and extremities. It is full of distress.Therefore to overcome such odds, the teenager wants strong positive approach to turn down the temptations.
