Read the passage carefully and do the following activities.

A small coastal town in North Kerala, Thalassery has been the home of circus artistes and many Circus owners in India. Legendary names such as the Kamla Circus, the great Rayman Circus from which emerged other Circus like the Gemini, Amar and Orient are all associated with Thalassery.

 The Thiyyas are a community of farmers found in Thalassery. Their feats in circus gave rise to many popular circuses. Every Thiyya house had a son or a daughter working in a circus. Starting training at an early age, they excelled in balancing feats, trick riding and trapeze Agile of limb and nimble in movements, the Thiyyas made the best acrobats in India. They toured India and abroad, attracting huge crowds. But in the last two decades, the circus has lost out the cinema and TV in popularity. Mounting cost of running a circus, lack of incentives from the government and agitations by animal activists are threatening the circus's survival.
